Create a Habitat
You already know that Minnesota’s freshwater ecosystems are being harmed by human impacts. All of these impacts have effects on the amount of habitat that is available to freshwater species! You can help create habitat for your species or for other species in your watershed if you live near a freshwater site. An important part of this is making sure there are enough native aquatic and terrestrial plants on the property for animals to be able to live and thrive.
