Adopt a River

Across Minnesota, there are opportunities to "adopt" different kinds of sites that impact water quality - beaches, rivers, creeks, campsites, and more. When you (and ideally a group of your friends) adopt one of these sites, you take responsibility for ensuring it is clean and free of litter, but you're also the watchdog to make sure people aren't polluting nearby waterways. Through the Conservation Corps, you can register to adopt and clean up your local lake, river, or pond once a year for a minimum of two years. By adopting your local waterways, you can help take care and look after them, keeping them healthy and free of trash and pollution.
