Adopt a Beach

Across Minnesota, there are opportunities to "adopt" different kinds of sites that impact water quality - beaches, rivers, creeks, campsites, and more. When you (and ideally a group of your friends) adopt one of these sites, you take responsibility for ensuring it is clean and free of litter, but you're also the watchdog to make sure people aren't polluting nearby waterways. Through the Great Lakes Alliance's Adopt-a-Beach program, you can sign up for beach clean-ups all around the Great Lakes shorelines, and help keep your local waterways free of trash and other pollutants!
