Define the Problem

You've researched the competing uses of water in your watershed, including how humans have affected the watershed, and what problems have occurred because of those effects. Now it's time to focus on the solutions! How are you going to help solve the problems facing your watershed?

Discuss

Discuss what you learned in the "Explore" section, about human impacts on watersheds and the problems that arise from those impacts. Also, take a look at your own community -- what problems do you think you could help solve?

Decide

Choose one problem that you have identified in your community to be the focus of your project. Keep in mind that your project may not be able to SOLVE the problem, but they can be part of the Solution! Once you have selected a problem to focus on, work on your problem statement defining the problem, why it's a problem, and why you think it's important to address.

Nice work! Now that you have defined the threat your project will address, the next two steps are to figure out where you want to do your project and what of project you want to do.
