Habitat that supports their energy needs includes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>native flowers that provide lots of sweet nectar &#8211; they really like red and orange flowers<\/li>\n<li>a water source<\/li>\n<li>safe places for them to perch and build their tiny nests.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Man-made hummingbird feeders that are filled with a sugar solution that resembles nectar can also provide hummingbirds with a source of energy.
