This narrowing of focus will help make the science concepts relevant and more engaging.<\/p>\n<p>You can have students select one pollinator as a class, or in small groups. Just keep in mind that the Pollinator Project will need to address the needs of each species.<\/p>\n<p>There are different ways you can facilitate this selection process to address different instructional needs. You can have students practice their persuasive language skills in a written argument for their species; you can have students develop skits or multimedia presentations about their species. Debate is another option. The process is up to you!<\/p>\n<h4>Tips for navigating EXPLORE webpages:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Practice navigating among the webpages before introducing EXPLORE to students.<\/li>\n<li>Enter your zip code on the Species Research page. It will take you into a page that says &#8220;Species in danger in [zip code].\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>From here you can click on a link for a group of related pollinator species (bats, butterflies and skippers, hummingbirds, moths, social bees, solitary bees.<\/li>\n<li>Click on individual species to read about them.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>To get back to a previous zip code page, scroll to the top of the page and click on the menu bar.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>After your students select the species they want to focus on, have them bookmark that species page.
