Steps to Design and Do Your Project<\/a><\/h3>\t\t\n\t\t\t

You have 1) defined the problem you want to address, and 2) identified a project that will address this problem, contributing to the SOLUTION! Now it’s time to get to work!<\/p>\n

Planning your project requires teamwork. As a team,\u00a0complete this Project Planner<\/a><\/strong> to design a SMART project – one that is\u00a0S<\/strong>pecific,\u00a0M<\/strong>easurable,\u00a0A<\/strong>chievable,\u00a0R<\/strong>elevant, and\u00a0T<\/strong>imely. You will need to coordinate on how the project will meet the needs of your watershed.<\/p>\n

Once you have completed the Project Planner, submit it to Hero Headquarters using the form below for feedback and the opportunity to receive funding to support your project!<\/p>\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\tOpen the Project Planner\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/a>\n\t\t

Design<\/h3>\t\n\t\t\t

Well designed projects are SMART<\/strong> – S<\/strong>pecific, M<\/strong>easurable, A<\/strong>chievable, R<\/strong>elevant, and T<\/strong>imely. Your design should address the problem you defined AND benefit your community.<\/p>\n\t\t

Communicate<\/h3>\t\n\t\t\t

Planning for communications includes how you will tell others what you are doing (including getting permission!) and how you will document your work.<\/p>\n\t\t

Budget & Fundraise<\/h3>\t\n\t\t\t

How much do you think your project is going to cost? Where can you get the materials you need? How can you raise the funds you’ll need?<\/p>\n\t\t

Do the Work!<\/h3>\t\n\t\t\t

When are you going to do your project? Do you need volunteers? How are you going to get everyone organized?<\/p>\n\t\t

Take Care<\/h3>\t\n\t\t\t

How are you going to make sure your project is taken care of after you are finished? What can you do to ensure your project helps for a long time?<\/p>\n\t\t

Check for Success<\/h3>\t\n\t\t\t

How will you know if your project is helping solve the problem? What are some ways you could collect data from your project to measure your impact?<\/p>\n\t\t

Submit your Project Planner<\/h3>\t\t\n\t\t\t

Your Project Planner will be reviewed by the Captain Planet Foundation. Strong SMART projects are eligible to receive up to $150 in support and your project can be recognized as an official Project Hero project!<\/p>\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\tSubmit the Planner\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/a>\n\t\t
