In 2010, the United Nations officially recognized water as a universal human right, but that does not mean that everyone has access to clean and healthy water — we are having to work for it! The Green Heart STEM Challenge is asking YOU to join the groups of change makers around the world working for water justice. In this challenge, you will be asked to identify a water justice concern or issue in your community, and to develop a feasible solution to overcome that problem. But it doesn’t stop there — the only way to ensure water justice is to put your solution into action. \n\t\tStrategies for Change\n\t<\/h2>\n\t

This challenge is about developing a feasible solution<\/strong> to overcome the water justice challenge you identified. But what does a feasible solution look like? There are four categories of solutions we typically talk about.<\/p>\n\t\t

Innovation<\/h3>\t\n\t\t\t

Can we invent better tools, systems, processes to ensure everyone has access to clean and healthy water?<\/p>\n\t\t

Science & Data<\/h3>\t\n\t\t\t\tgraph\n\t\t\t

Can we develop and communicate the science and data behind water issues better and more quickly?<\/p>\n\t\t

Public Policy<\/h3>\t\n\t\t\t

Can we encourage lawmakers to pass and enforce laws, and ensure funding to make sure everyone has access to clean water?<\/p>\n\t\t

Advocacy<\/h3>\t\n\t\t\t
