The Challenge is open to students grade 6th-9th and should be completed by TEAMS of 2-5 students under the guidance of an adult advisor. This year&#8217;s Green Heart STEM Challenge is focused on the Planeteer Element of EARTH, with focuses on food access and waste, maintaining healthy forests, and supporting healthy soil systems.<\/p>\n<p><strong>REGISTRATION FOR THIS YEAR&#8217;S GREEN HEART STEM CHALLENGE IS NOW CLOSED\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Registration is free of charge<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Final Submissions are due March 16, 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n\t\t<h3><a href=\"\/educator-dashboard\/green-heart-challenge-registration\/#new-educator\" target=\"_self\">New Educators<\/a><\/h3><p>Complete the form below. Submitting this form will create an account on this Project Hero platform. Log into your account to see your dashboard, which should feature a link to your Challenge site. If you are an educator who participated in a previous Green Heart STEM Challenge (or other Project Hero Quests) and already have an account, please follow these steps to register for the current Green Heart STEM Challenge:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>LOGIN to your account using the login in the header of this page.<\/li>\n<li>Once logged in, look for the Green Heart Challenge &#8211; RETURNING Educator Registration link (in the purple box). Click on it to open the RETURNING registration form.<\/li>\n<li>Complete and submit the form with information about your students participating in the Challenge this year.<\/li>\n<li>Once that form has been submitted, click the green button that reads <strong>Add the 2026 Green Heart STEM Challenge\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>This will take you to the ADD QUEST option in your account.
